Bespoke commissions
A watercolour of the people you love, painted into the place that holds your story. Family, partners, children, pets — set in a garden, a headland, a river bend, the view from home. Each work is composed from your photographs and conversation, and painted by hand as a single, original piece.
Family Enjoying the Garden · a commissioned family portrait
What it is
Every commission begins with the people. You send photographs of your family, your partner, your children, a beloved dog or horse — and describe the landscape that means the most to you. That might be the backyard where the kids grew up, a favourite headland at sunrise, a rainforest gully, an ocean you keep returning to.
From there I paint a single watercolour that weaves your people into that place. It is not a copy of a photograph — it is a small, quiet mythology of your family, in a landscape that will keep telling the story long after the moment has passed.
The process
Tell me who the painting is for — the people, pets, the place that matters to you. Send photographs and a few words.
I compose a rough layout placing your loved ones into the chosen landscape. We refine it together until it feels right.
The final piece is hand-painted in watercolour on archival paper — a single, one-of-a-kind work made just for you.
Your portrait is carefully packed and posted, ready to be framed and lived with for generations.
